Policies
The
new policies are (finally) updated! Thank you to the parents who have already
agreed to review them for us but we would like some more parents please,
particularly Dads!
You
don’t need to read them all if you don’t want to, just pick the few that
interest you the most and let us know what you think.
If
you would be happy to help, let me know and I will email you a copy.
Testimonials
We
are updating our website and would like to include some parents testimonials.
If
you would like to make a comment about the nursery please can you email me.
This will be going on the website and we will ask to use your name (so people
don’t think we make them up ourselves!)
We
are also updating our link on the website: www.
daynurseries.co.uk
You
can make a comment about our nursery by following the link.
Red
Nose week 9-13th March
This
year as well as raising money for Red Nose Day we are also having a nursery
challenge. The room that raises the most money for children in need gets an
additional pot of money for new resources.
So
get involved and support not only Red Nose Day but your child’s room, if you
have two children pick your favourite (room not child!)
Buttercups
will be:
Wearing
red clothes every day (except Wednesday) and asking for a £1 donation per day
On
Wednesday they will be having a PJ day and asking for a £1 donation
You
can guess the numbers of sweets in the jar and selling yummy biscuits
Bluebells
are:
Having
a fancy dress week with a £1 per day donation
They
will also be having a lucky dip, raffle and cake sale
Sunflowers
are:
Having
a dressing up week with a daily donation of £1
Selling
cakes and biscuits
Guessing
the name of the bear, the winner gets to take the bear home!
They
are also having a drawing competition with the winner taking home an Art set.
So
get involved with our (competitive) team and lets raise some money for Red Nose
Day!
Missing
ring
One
of our neighbours has found a ring, if you have lost one please let me know and
hopefully we can reunite you with your jewellery.
New
Fees
From
1st March the fees are changing. I have attached another copy of the
new fee schedule for you all to see.
To
try and make the 15 hours of funding that three year olds receive clearer, we
will be changing our fee structure from your average monthly fee minus the
funding to an actual monthly fee minus the funding. You will still receive all
of the funding that your child is entitled to.
Please
remember that the Government does not pay funding during school holidays. Here
is a list of the school holiday dates:
W/C
16th February
30th
March – 10th April
4th
May
W/C
25th May
End
of term is 21st July and the term starts again in September so there
is no funding in August.
Hopefully
this will make the funding a little easier to calculate.
If
you have any questions about the new fees you can contact the Operations
Manager Natalie Chrystie on: natalie@daycare.co.uk
or her Mobile: 07789268241

Menus
Tea on Thursday will be pizza.
If you
would like to see a copy of our allergens menu at any time please ask!
This week’s activities
Each key person will be responsible for designing
an activity based on their key children’s needs; however, all children who are
in on that day will have the opportunity to access the activity too.
If the key person is on holiday or off, another
staff member will be able to lead the activity in their place so that the
children do not miss out.

stage, the guidance we use to support our planning and practice, please visit:
