Dear
Parents and Carers,
Parents
Evening
A
reminder that it is Parents Evening tonight (Thursday).
Pop
in anytime between 6.30pm and 8.30pm and have a chat with your child’s Key
Person.
Forest
School
This
week in our Forest School session we headed straight for the campsite as we
were going to make our own bread on the fire! We went through the safety rules
and went to collect some water for the dough. We made the dough into sausage
shapes and put them on skewers. Once they were cooked we had some yummy bread
with jam for our snack. We all had lots of fun at forest school today.
Easter
We
will be having Easter egg hunt for the children next Thursday for Easter, we
will take lots of photos for you all to see.
Bank
Holiday
A
reminder that it is the Easter bank holiday weekend next week, therefore we
will be closed on Friday (25th) and Monday (28th). We
open as usual on Tuesday 29th.

This week’s activities
Each key person will be responsible for designing
an activity based on their key children’s needs; however, all children who are
in on that day will have the opportunity to access the activity too.
If the key person is on holiday or off, another
staff member will be able to lead the activity in their place so that the
children do not miss out.

Procedure for children’s bathroom and Baby change area
Aim
of policy
To
ensure that the bathroom and change areas are always well maintained, clean and
pleasant to be in.
Points
to consider
- Bathroom and baby change area should be cleaned “as you go” to ensure the bathroom is always ready for use.
- Toilets are to be cleaned with diluted disinfectant; toilet cleaner to be used around the rim. This should be done each evening when the children are not in the setting
- Sinks to be cleaned with antibacterial spray.
- Soaps and toilet rolls must be replaced when needed.
- Floors to be cleaned daily, using bathroom mop only.
- Bin to be emptied throughout the day – once full.
- Mirrors should be polished regularly and windows sills kept tidy and clear of clutter.
- Disposable cloths should be used in the bathroom and disposed of after every use.
- Toilets must be flushed after every use.
- Any soiled nappies must be disposed of immediately and hygienically.
- Gloves and apron must be worn when cleaning the bathroom.
Kind regards,
Jess Smith
Manager, SENCO
