Dear
Parents
Chicken Pox
We have
got one case of chicken pox in the Sunflower room. Hopefully there won’t be any
more cases but if your child does catch it, they can return to nursery once their
spots have scabbed over.
Nursery Photographer
The photographer
will be coming to the nursery on Monday 10th September. Every child
who is in on Monday can have their picture taken and if your child is not in on
Mondays you can come in between 11.30- 2.30 to have your photo taken. We can
take pictures of siblings and family groups too so bring the whole gang! I can
say how good the photographer is as she took a family portrait of my family
last year and it was great, even my Dad smiled!
Exciting news!
Cristina
in the Bluebell room is pregnant! She is due on the 4th March and I
am sure you will join us all in wishing her congratulations!
It
is Donna’s ten year anniversary at Castle at the beginning of September so if
any parents would like to add their wishes to her card please email them to me or
pop in the office and sign the card. Please don’t let Donna know though as we
are trying to surprise her!
Recommend the Nursery
There
are postcards in the entrance hall if any parent would like to recommend the nursery.
These are from a website that has different nursery details for prospective
parents to see. If you would like to recommend us just complete the card and
send it off. Many Thanks.
Buttercups
This
week the Buttercups will be developing coordination skills as they roll balls
to each other.
They
will also be making music as they bang saucepans with wooden spoons!
Bluebells
The Bluebells
will be developing their fine manipulative skills as they use the stickle
bricks and mobilo.
They
will also be getting messy as they explore gloopy cornflour!
Sunflowers
The
topic for July and August is Transport (we will also be talking about going to
school). If you have anything at home that links to this topic please can we
have it for our interest table? Please make sure any items brought in are
labelled.
The
books of the fortnight are:
27th
August: This is My Digger by Chris Oxlade
Jess’s
group will be making their own very yummy fruit kebabs.
Chloe’s
group will be taking turns as they cook biscuits
Josie’s
group will be counting the toy animals.
Enjoy
the Bank Holiday weekend!
