Dear
Parents
No
Horse meat here!
With
all of the stories in the news about horse meat in foods I would like to take
the opportunity to reassure you about the food we serve. The chefs over at our
Markenfield Road nursery receive regular deliveries of meat from a butcher,
Premier Meat. We only buy good quality meat and it usually comes in whole
joints so we can check to see if it looks like the animal it should!
For
the time being I am going to stop buying ham for the children’s sandwiches and
rolls. If you have any further questions about our food please let me know.

One
of the parents has raised a good point about staff leaving and I wondered if
any of you had any further ideas. Over time, some
staff will move on to pastures new but if this staff member is your child’s key
person would you appreciate a phone call before the news goes out in the news
letter? Have you any other ideas of how we can support both you and the
children if their key staff member leaves? We have a low turnover of staff here
but even so, staff will always move on such as
Emma J who is moving to be closer to her family.
Any
suggestions, ideas or just to say you are happy with how we do things now,
would be much appreciated!
