Everyone

already sent in their observations from home.

This week’s activities
Each key person will be responsible for designing
an activity based on their key children’s needs; however, all children who are
in on that day will have the opportunity to access the activity too.
If the key person is on holiday or off, another
staff member will be able to lead the activity in their place so that the
children do not miss out.

Monday – Megan is supporting the physical
development of the children as they use the toddle boxes
Tuesday – Nilem’s group are exploring a range of
toys with buttons and flaps
Wednesday – Leanne’s group will be rolling the ball
to each other in small groups as they build social skills
Thursday – Charlotte’s group is finding different
objects as they build listening and speaking skills
Friday – Magda’s group will be making their own car
models

The Sunflowers have one detailed weekly focused
activity to ensure all the children have the opportunity to take part in it.
This will work alongside their weekly planned
activity list which you can see in the room and on the ILD’S.
This week’s activity is: Looking at their favourite
stories and why they like them.
This week the Sunflowers will be:
Developing their attention span as they listen to
stories
Suggesting how the story may end
Recognising familiar words in books
Giving meaning to marks as they make their own
pictures to go with their story
