Questionnaire
This
has now closed. Thank you to everyone who has completed a questionnaire. I will
be going through the results next week and using the information along with our
staff feedback and Nursery audits to create an action plan for the year.
There
will be a summary of the feedback in next week’s newsletter.
Staff
member of the month
Congratulations
to Charlotte and Rose who have tied for March’s staff member of the month.
This
idea was developed by the staff as a way of celebrating each other’s hard work.
Each month the staff vote for each other giving a reason why they have voted
for that staff member.
The
staff member of the month board is in the hallway.
New
Menus
Our
new Spring/ Summer menus are launching at the end of the month and this week we
will be trying out new tea ideas to see if they pass the children’s taste test!
Those
that prove popular will make it onto the new menus.
Copies
of the new menus will be available shortly.
Nursery
News
The
chicks are back! On Monday ten eggs will arrive and over the next two weeks we
will watch them hatch and care for them as they grow. Pop into Sunflowers and
say hello!
Bluebells
room is being redecorated over the weekend so please bear with us whilst we are
missing a few displays.

This
week’s activities
Each
key person will be responsible for designing an activity based on their key
children’s needs; however, all children who are in on that day will have the
opportunity to access the activity too.
If
the key person is on holiday or off, another staff member will be able to lead
the activity in their place so that the children do not miss out.

Buttercups
Monday
– Charlotte’s group are mark making on big pieces of paper.
Tuesday
–Magda will be helping the children make relationships as they wash dollies.
Wednesday
– Nilem ‘s group will be singing songs to develop communication.
Thursday
– Charlotte’s group are exploring trays of wet sand!
Friday
– Emma’s group are sorting blocks and shapes.
Charlotte
is off Friday, Emma is off Thursday, Magda is off Monday, Nilem is off Monday
and Leanne is on holiday all week.
Bluebells
Monday
– Josie’s group are developing physical skills as they jump into hoops.
Tuesday
– Donna’s group will be recognising and exploring shapes.
Wednesday
– Donna’s group are practising taking turns as they play games.
Thursday
– Josie’s group is practising speaking and listening skills in small groups.
Friday
– Sophie is supporting the children’s understanding of the world as they play
with the farmyard toys.
Donna
is off Friday, Josie is off Tuesday, Sophie is off Thursday and Rose is in all
week.
Sunflowers
The
topic for March and April is “Music and Musicians”. If you have anything at
home that links to this topic please can we have it for our interest table?

–Jess’s group are exploring letters and sounds as they play alphabet soup.
Jess
