week commencing 6th May

Dear Parents

Diary dates

We have some exciting events coming up so don’t forget to put them in your diary!

Farm – The farm is coming on Wednesday 15th May. If your child is not in on this day they are welcome to come in and visit the farm between 1.30-4pm as long as an adult accompanies them.

Summer picnic – Saturday 18th May from 12- 2pm. We would like to invite the whole family along to Shalford Park to join us in our summer picnic. For those of you who have not been before, everyone brings one dish and we all share our food “buffet style”. We hope to see you all there!

Father’s week – Week 10th June we will be having Daddies week, Every day there will be time slots for dad’s to come and join in activities with their children. On Friday 14th June  we will be having a Father’s day tea party from 4pm to 5pm.

Wow vouchers

Wow vouchers are available in the rooms.

Please help your child’s key person by returning these completed with things your child has been up to outside of Nursery. Anyone can complete them so get Grannies and Granddads’ involved too. Understanding what your child is like both in and out of Nursery is vital for us to be able to support them fully so please take full advantage of using the “Wow vouchers” to tell us how great your child is.

Staff News

Josie is attending a training course on Developing the 2-3 year old child.

Leanne is going on the second day of a Planning, observing and documenting children's learning course.

This week’s activities

Each key person will be responsible for designing an activity based on their key children’s needs; however, all children who are in on that day will have the opportunity to access the activity too.

If the key person is on holiday or off, another staff member will be able to lead the activity in their place so that the children do not miss out.
