week commencing 22nd July

Staff news

Congratulations to Leanne on gaining her Level 3 Qualification in Child Development!

This week the staff training session is on the Welfare Requirements

Nursery News

Our hallway is now finished! Following from your feedback that it lacked space, we have removed the unit and given the hallway a makeover to make it feel more spacious!

Our blinds are nearly all up and the back garden is looking lovely in the sunshine after it’s redecoration.

Policies of the week

We will be displaying a different policy every week in the hallway and on our blog:  http://castlenursery-southhill.blogspot.co.uk  (you may have to cut and paste this link).

If you would like to see this or any of our policies please ask Caroline.

Our Policy this week is: Child protection policy (part of our safeguarding children policies)

This week’s activities

Each key person will be responsible for designing an activity based on their key children’s needs; however, all children who are in on that day will have the opportunity to access the activity too.

If the key person is on holiday or off, another staff member will be able to lead the activity in their place so that the children do not miss out.

For more information on the Early Years Foundation stage, the guidance we use to support our planning and practice, visit:
