Week commencing 18th August

Thank you so much to everyone who signed my cards, gave presents and came to my party. I had a wonderful afternoon.

It has been an amazing ten years and I am looking forward to the next ten!

 

Family photos

Please can all the Bluebell and Baby room parents email in a family photo.

We are creating family displays to further promote our home/ nursery bond.

 

Menus

There are no planned changes to this week’s menu.

  

This week’s activities

Each key person will be responsible for designing an activity based on their key children’s needs; however, all children who are in on that day will have the opportunity to access the activity too.

If the key person is on holiday or off, another staff member will be able to lead the activity in their place so that the children do not miss out.

Buttercups

Monday – Julia’s group are reading stories using the puppets

Tuesday – Nilem’s group will be getting creative as they paint pictures using brushes and fingers!

Wednesday – Magda’s group is building fine motor skills as they create butterfly pictures

Thursday – Charlotte’s group will be listening to music as they dance with ribbons and streamers

Friday – Charlotte’s group are sharing ticking and action rhymes together as they build social skills

Charlotte is off Monday, Julia is off Monday, Magda is off Tuesday and Nilem is off Friday

 

Bluebells

Monday – Donna’s group is choosing songs they want to sing

Tuesday – Rose’s group are recognising shapes using flash cards

Wednesday – Chloe’s group will be making pizzas!

Thursday – Donna’s group are building hand eye coordination as they use the new ICT toys

Friday – Rose’s group is making different sounds as they play with the musical instruments

Donna is off Friday, Leanne is off Wednesday, Chloe is on holiday all week and Rose is in everyday

 

Sunflowers

18th – 25th August – My Mum is Great by Marks and Spencer

1st – 8th September – Dilly Duckling by Claire Freedman

15th – 22nd September – Always and  Forever by Debi Gliari and Alan Durant

The Sunflowers have one detailed weekly focused activity to ensure all the children have the opportunity to take part in it.

This will work alongside their weekly planned activity list which you can see in the room.

They will be making paper owls along with a variety of different O activities.

 

Our learning intentions are:

Explores colours and how colours can be changed

Describing the texture of things

Realises tools can be used for a purpose

Developing fine motor skills

Learning about the letter O
